Welcome from Jason and Rich!

The intention of this blog is to be a voice of rationality in a sea of emotional activism in SF. To question the seemingly unquestionable.

UPDATE…think LGF meets Instapundit meets Hubris [the satire blog] meets The Community of heart and love and compassion meets Ayn Rand meets Ken Wilber all sipping a cappuccino in San Francisco watching the sun set while speaking of many things.

There will be penetrative analysis on the WOT as well as an attempt to balance the perspective being displayed in the MSM in general and in San Francisco Group Think in specific.

We will take on a host of issues from entitlements to homelessness to business regulations to economics to war [in the context of everything else] to rent control. You name it, we’re going to look at it. I will personally be looking at it from The perspective of a libertarian with a Misean perspective on economics and a hawkish approach to the WOT. Rich will approach how ever he pleases. We expect to disagree on some issues and a rich dialogue [no pun intended] will ensue.

Comments are open to anyone who registers [your name and email will be used for no other purpose], however defamatory remarks and remarks that are ad-hominum and do not address the issues at hand will be deleted. Comments do not reflect the views of The Golden Gate.

The Creature from Jekyll Island, By G. Edward Griffin… A Second Look at the Federal Reserve. Page 188.
Robert Hemphill was the Credit Manager of the Federal Reserve Bank in Atlanta. In the foreword to a 1936 book by Irving Fisher, entitled 100% Money, Hemphill said this:

If all the bank loans were paid, no one could have a bank deposit, and there would not be a dollar of coin or currency in circulation. This is a staggering thought. We are completely dependent on the commercial banks. Someone has to borrow every dollar we have in circulation, cash, or credit. If the banks create ample synthetic money we are prosperous; if not, we starve. We are absolutely without a permanent money system. When one gets a complete grasp of the picture, the tragic absurdity of our hopeless situation is almost incredible—but there it is.

I read this statement to a well known radio talk show host and he was infuriated by what he implied was a lie. I offered to send him the documentation but he said, “Send it, and I’ll put it with the rest of my toilet paper.”

This man is well educated and has a lot of experience in several fields but he was not emotionally capable of accepting the truth. After a similar stressful question, a woman who was more aware and honest answered, “I’m not strong enough to think about that.”

“The few who understand the (banking) system, will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favors that there will be no opposition from that class. “The great body of people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantages (to us) will bear its burden without complaint.”
–Rothschild Brothers of London. Source: In a letter (June, 25, 1863) discussing their new banking scheme with fellow conspirators. (Three words added for clarity.)

How can one, with more proof than is necessary, awaken and motivate victims to defend themselves?

This is in response to the article in Readers Digest (Nov. 2003) by Tucker Carlson who is a regular columnist for Readers Digest and a co-host of CNN’s “Crossfire.” His article, “Pumping out lies — “The air is thick with sick conspiracy theories” will program the suggestible reader to distance himself from anyone who believes that a political conspiracy could exist. For years the public has been programmed so that the word “conspiracy” has become a trigger word that releases the emotions of rejection and ridicule. Most people, I believe, would prefer physical pain than to feel public ridicule so they will, similar to Pavlov’s dog, automatically reject and ridicule anyone who attempts to expose a political conspiracy. Lenin described the process this way, “When obstructionists become too irritating, label them as fascist, Nazi or anti-Semitic… The association will, after enough repetition, become ‘fact’ in the public mind.”
The article is laced words and phrases that will release negative emotions in the twenty percent of the population that is extremely susceptible to suggestion.

For example the trigger words are:

1. That’s outrageous! (Department title.)
2. Pumping out lies.
3. Sick conspiracy theories.
4. Conspiracies that don’t exist.
5. None of these things actually happened.
6. They were hatched and cultivated.
7. Like-minded mentally ill.
8. People buy into the bull.
9. The paranoid lie.
10. Rumors as ludicrous as these.
11. Willing to suspend reason and common sense.
12. Some crank mythology.
13. Thousands will die as a result.
14. If… his beliefs weren’t so severe.
15. Foreign plot.
16. A convenient way of diverting responsibility.
17. Turned conspiracy theories into a fine art.
18. Offensive garbage.
19. Kooks and fanatics.
20. What’s dangerous is that…
21. Otherwise sane people. (They are insane.)
22. To feed their biases.
23. Government capable of mass murder.
24. Conspiracism is a relic of a pre-rational age. (To believe that a conspiracy is possible is irrational.)
25. Conspiracy theories. (They are only theories not facts — regardless of the amount of proof.)
26. Justify their prejudices.
27. The truth be damned.
28. So dumb we’ll believe anything.
29. People who believe in witches (conspiracies) tend to burn them. (They are dangerous!)

How can such an article be explained? Let me paraphrase a statement by Lenin, “It is ironic that world government (conspiracy) must be built by those who are opposed to tyranny. 1 of 4

And here is a direct quote from the Russian textbook on mass conditioning or as Pavlov would have called it, “Mass hypnosis.”
(Page 5) “Thus we see that psycho-political procedures are a natural outgrowth of practices as old as Man, practices which are current in every group of men throughout the world. “Thus, in psycho-political procedures there is no ethical problem, since it is obvious and evident that Man is always coerced against his will to the greater good of the State, whether by economic gains or indoctrination into the wishes and desires of the State.” (There have always been conspiracies therefore conspiracies are ethical.)

And on the same page is this revealing statement, “And in view of the tremendous advance of Russian Culture in the field of mental technologies, begun with the glorious work of Pavlov and carried forward so ably by later Russians, it would be strange that an art and science would not evolve totally devoted to the aligning of loyalties and extracting the obedience of individuals and multitudes.” (Mental robots)

The following is part of an essay by Robert Welch that indicates he was aware of the brainwashing techniques that were being used on American citizens. It appeared as the forward to the JBS Bulletin for September 1963 and again in September 1999.

For more and more now you are going to see confusion doubly confounded in our country through the deliberate, cunning, and extensive application to human beings of the technique developed by Pavlov for making frustrated idiots out of intelligent dogs. First you train the strapped dog to reach for its food after one signal, and to withdraw its paw to avoid and electric shock after another signal. Then you purposely change the signals, back and forth. You change and change again all of the other signals, for each of which the dog has learned the original meaning; and you watch the dog frantically trying to make some sort of order out of the purposely mixed up stimuli, as his mind gradually breaks down completely under the unfathomable confusion. If this happens, only long and loving care will ever bring him back to anything like normal again. On the other hand, when the dog is trying so hard to find what he is supposed to do–in order to obtain food or water, or to avoid pain – just before his mind collapses all together, and while it is working in a feverish state, he is highly susceptible to suggestions, and can be trained very quickly to do many things for which his trainer would otherwise have needed long effort and patience. In other words he can be converted, with great ease, into a four-legged robot, that dares question nothing.
“And pray, Sir whose dog are you?”

“The American people are now more hypnotized than were the Germans under Hitler.”
– Tom Silver, Stage hypnotist and Hypnotherapist.

“Watch your politicians!” — Kreskin, Stage hypnotist.

“Whenever you see someone behaving strange, weird, or bizarre don’t panic, they might just be hypnotized.” — Tom Kramer, Stage hypnotist

NEW WORLD ORDER QUOTES – In response to the Nov., 2003 Readers Digest “THAT’S OUTRAGEOUS!” article:
“PUMPING OUT LIES; The air is thick with sick conspiracy theories.” By RD columnist Tucker Carlson.

“The real rulers in Washington are invisible and exercise their power from behind the scenes.”
– Justice Felix Frankfurter, U.S. Supreme Court.

“The real truth of the matter, as you and I know, is that a financial element in the large centers has owned the
Government of the U.S. since the days of Andrew Jackson.”
– President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in a letter to Colonel E. Mandell House, Nov. 21, 1933.

“The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.” — Benjamin Disraeli, Prime Minister of England, 1844.

“Some of the biggest men in the United States, in the field of commerce and manufacture, are afraid of some- thing. They know that there is a power somewhere so organized, so subtle, so watchful, so interlocked, so com- plete, so pervasive, that they had better not speak above their breath when they speak in condemnation of it.”
— President Woodrow Wilson.

“We shall have World Government whether or not we like it. The only question is whether World Government will be achieved by conquest or consent.”
–James Paul Warburg, Statement to the United States Senate, Feb. 7, 1950.

“We operate here under directives which emanate from the White House… “The substance of the directives under which we operate is that we shall use our grant making power to alter life in the United States so that we can comfortably be merged with the Soviet Union.”
– Rowan Gaither, President of the Ford Foundation, 1954

“The International Government of the United Nations, stripped of it’s legal trimming, then, is really the International Government of the United States and the Soviet Union acting in Unison.”
– Commentary, The American Jewish Committee magazine, November 1958, page 376.

“We are grateful to the Washington Post, the New York Times, Time Magazine, and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected the promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subject to the bright lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the National auto-determination practiced in past centuries.”
– David Rockefeller, At a Trilateral Commission meeting, June 1991.

“David Rockefeller is the most conspicuous representative today of the ruling class, a multinational fraternity of men who shape the global economy and manage the flow of its capital. Rockefeller was born to it, and he has made the most of it. But what some critics see as a vast international conspiracy, he considers a circumstance of life and just another day’s work… “In the world of David Rockefeller it’s hard to tell where business ends and politics begins.”
– Bill Moyers

“Fundamental Bible-believing people do not have the right to indoctrinate their children in their religious beliefs because we, the state, are preparing them for the year 2000, when America will be part of a one-world global society and their children will not fit in.”
– Nebraska State Senator, Peter Hoagland, on radio in 1983

“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans.”
– President Bill Clinton, USA Today, March 11, 1993, page 2A

“Children who know how to think for themselves spoil the harmony of the Collective society that is coming.”
– John Dewey, Instigator of progressive education in the United States.

“Countless people… will hate the new world order… and will die protesting against it. “When we attempt to evaluate its promise, we have to bear in mind the distress of a generation or so of malcontents, many of them quite gallant and graceful-looking people.”
– H.G. Wells, The New World Order, 1939 book.

“For some time I have been disturbed by the way the CIA has been diverted from it’s original assignment. It has become an operational and at times a policy making arm of the government.”
— President Harry S. Truman. 3 of 4

The Monroe Evening News Monroe, Michigan, Wed., Sept. 13, 1933

NOT THAT !
Are the schools of America to be used as a propaganda agency to mould public opinion
into conformity with the policies and theories of the administration?
We hope not, and believe not. Even the suggestion of such a thing is shocking. But that
is just what Louis P. Alber says is going to be done, and Louis P. Alber is chief of the
speakers’ division of the NRA.
In an interview at New York, published everywhere in the Saturday papers, he declared
that a “primer” expounding the principles of the NRA and the Roosevelt program would
be sent into the high schools, both public and parochial, of the country. That of itself
would not be a disturbing thought, for such a primer might be a practical explanation of
the plan that would be helpful and commendable. But apparently there is much more to
it than that. Just read these astounding utterances by Mr. Alber:

The rugged individualism of Americanism must go, because it is
contrary to the purpose of the New Deal and the NRA, which is
Remaking America.
Russia and Germany are attempting to compel a new order by
Means of their nationalism — compulsion. The United States will
do it by moral suasion. Of course we expect some opposition, but
the principles of the New Deal must be carried to the youth of
the nation. We expect to accomplish by education what dictators
in Europe are seeking to do by compulsion and force. Mr. Alber added that the “primer” is only the first step, and that a plan is being considered
for the extensive use of motion pictures in the schools for the same purpose.
It still might be thought that perhaps, after all, he proposes nothing more than to explain
in the schools the nature and operation of the National Recovery Act — that perhaps we are
reading too much meaning into his words. But he removes all doubt on that point when
he says:

The NRA is the outstanding part of the President’s program. But in
fact it is only a fragment. The general public is not informed on the
other parts of the program, and the school’s are the places to reach
the future builders of the nation.
So, according to what Mr. Alber says, NRA — sweeping and revolutionary as it is – is
only a “fragment” of a greater program of which the public knows nothing, and this
unknown program is to be inculcated in the minds of pupils in the schools everywhere,
by official efforts and at government expense. Hitherto the purpose of the schools has
been merely to educate the youth of the land — to impart knowledge, in an unbiased
and nonpolitical manner. Now, according to Mr. Alber, our schools — like those of
Italy, Germany and Russia — are to become an agency for the promotion of whatever
political, social and economic policies the administration may desire to carry out.
And the taxpayers, whether they like those policies or not, are to pay for having
their children converted to them. The whole proposition is so amazing, and so alarming
In its implications, that we refuse as to take it seriously. We prefer to believe that
Mr. Alber is merely an enthusiast who has been carried off his feet, and who spoke rashly.
We cannot believe that Mr. Alber reflected the President’s designs or his desires.
